Dear Valued Patient:
Our office is preparing to resume regular in-office eye exams and we are now scheduling appointments.

Why now?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state and local public health officials, the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA) earlier recommendations of postponing routine eye care is no longer in effect as of the end of April 2020.

Governor Pritzker's executive order requires that safety measures be put into place for essential businesses, including health care providers. We have implemented enhanced screening measures and safety precautions in order to protect the health and safety or our patients, staff and community.

Our safety protocols are summarized as follows:
• Reschedule your appointment if you are sick, have a fever or have been exposed to COVID-19
• Appointments will be scheduled so that only one patient at a time is in the office
• Patients should come alone to their appointments (if possible and in any event with no more than one other person)
• Patients must put on masks before entering the office per IL Executive Order
• Immediately upon entering the office, provided hand sanitizer should be used
• We request all paperwork be completed prior to appointments
• We will disinfect all patient contact areas and examination and diagnostic equipment before and after each visit with Pure & Clean, a hospital grade disinfectant/sanitizer
• All eyewear that has been touched by a patient in our optical dispensary is cleaned after handling
• Always call the office prior to coming to pick up any materials or for eyeglass repair or adjustment

In addition to implementing safety measures for our patients, we will also be implementing screening protocols for our staff. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 crisis and are following the guidance and expertise of the CDC, AOA and IOA

Dr. Steven Udesky is a knowledgeable and caring optometrist with extensive training in medical eye care and has earned his reputation for his willingness to listen to patient issues and concerns. Dr. Udesky has been practicing Optometry since 1997 when he received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry and has a bachelors of science in Biology from Depaul University

He has been providing quality eye care to the North Shore and surrounding areas since founding his practice in 2011. The Northbrook Family Eye Care practice specializes in family Optometry and hard to fit contact lenses. With an eye for detail, the practice uses only state of the art equipment and technology. Northbrook Family Eye Care offers individualized services for a variety of family needs and is committed to customizing the best possible treatment for each individual patient.

Dr. Udesky grew up in Northbrook, Illinois and is proud to be a 1988 graduate of Glenbrook North High School and Wood Oaks Junior High. He takes tremendous pride in providing personalized care in the town where he grew up. Dr. Udesky lives in Glenview with his wife Candice and two sons. He comes from a family of optometrists and medical professionals. Serving patients, runs through generations of his family.
